Danny Masterson, renowned for his role in “That ’70s Show,” was escorted out of a Los Angeles courtroom in handcuffs on Wednesday. The jury, consisting of seven women and five men, found him guilty on two counts of rape, while the verdict on the third count, involving an alleged rape of a longtime girlfriend, could not be reached, with an 8-4 majority in favor of conviction.

During the reading of the verdict, Masterson’s wife, Bijou Phillips, an actor and model, reacted with gasps and later shed tears as he was taken into custody. Accompanied by a group of somber family and friends who had supported him throughout both trials, Masterson’s emotions were restrained.
Having deliberated for a total of seven days over a span of two weeks, the jury arrived at their decision. Masterson, now 47 years old, will remain in custody without bail until his sentencing. Although the date for the sentencing is yet to be determined, the judge instructed Masterson and his legal team to return to court on August 4th for a hearing.
