Matthew Patrick, known as MatPat, disclosed that March 9th would mark his final day as the host of his YouTube franchise.
MatPat expressed his intention to “hand off the channels to someone else.”
Reflecting on his journey, MatPat stated in the video, “For me, and my journey in this place, I always wanted to go out on a high note. And when you stop and look at the last year, this has been the best year in the Theorist lifespan, no joke.”
Game Theorists, established by MatPat and his wife Stephanie in 2011, served as a platform to delve into the lore and wildest theories surrounding popular video games.
Over the years, MatPat expanded the franchise by launching various spin-off channels, such as Film Theorists, Food Theorists, and Style Theorists.
As of January, the gaming channel alone boasts an impressive 18.5 million subscribers.
