New York City Hit With Major Flooding – New York City witnessed chaotic scenes of flooding on Friday morning as an intense rainstorm swept through the tri-state area, causing local roads to resemble rivers during the busy morning rush hour.

Videos depicted vehicles navigating through knee-deep water in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood, with a swirling whirlpool forming in the middle of the waterlogged street.

an MTA bus at the intersection of 18th Avenue and 60th Street in Brooklyn’s Bensonhurst neighborhood showed floodwaters entering the bus, which was carrying passengers, including children. They attempted to keep dry by lifting their feet off the floor.

Major roads in the city, including the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, the Belt Parkway, and the Prospect Park Expressway, also succumbed to the flooding, resulting in traffic congestion with partially submerged cars trapped in bumper-to-bumper queues.
